Schools Near Artisan 8 in One Line

Two well-known schools lie within about a kilometre of Artisan 8 in a straight line: Ai Tong School, about 830 metres away, and Catholic High School, about 980 metres. Raffles Institution, Marymount Convent School and Peirce Secondary School follow between 1.4 and 1.6 kilometres, with more schools within about 2.2 kilometres.

For Primary One, the Ministry of Education (MOE) gives priority by home-school distance only when a school has more applicants than vacancies, so the distance matters most for the most popular schools.

How Distance Counts for Primary One at Artisan 8

MOE’s rule, as at October 2026, is that when a school has more applicants than vacancies, Singapore Citizens come before Permanent Residents, and within each group the closer applicants come first: those living within 1 kilometre of the school, then those between 1 and 2 kilometres, then those beyond 2 kilometres. The category is based on the address used for registration.

A child who gains priority through distance must live at the registration address for at least 30 months, and for a new property MOE counts the period from the date the family moves in. A buyer who plans around a particular school should confirm the position for the year of registration, and for a home that is not yet complete, with MOE before relying on it. Timing a Purchase Around Primary One at Artisan 8

MOE counts the 30 months for a new property from the date the family moves in, and the developer’s factsheet gives 31 December 2028 as the expected date of vacant possession for Artisan 8. A family that hopes to use distance for a particular year’s registration should set those two facts against the registration year it has in mind, and confirm with MOE how the rules apply to its own circumstances, since the rules are set by MOE and can change.

Distance does not matter for every school every year. It counts only where applicants outnumber vacancies, and MOE publishes the vacancies and the outcome of each year’s exercise.

Sin Ming Avenue and Bright Hill Drive lead to Ai Tong School, and Sin Ming Road and Bishan Street 22 to Catholic High School.
