Bishan Park and MacRitchie Near Artisan 8

Few homes so close to an MRT line have as much green space within reach as Artisan 8. The reservoirs of the Central Catchment lie to the west and Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to the east.

MacRitchie Reservoir Park from Artisan 8

MacRitchie Reservoir Park, about 1.4 kilometres from the site in a straight line, is the best-known gateway to the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, with boardwalks along the water’s edge and longer trails into the forest. Windsor Nature Park, off Venus Drive, is about 1.7 kilometres away, and Lower Peirce Reservoir Park about 2 kilometres.

These parks are run by the National Parks Board, which publishes trail maps and opening hours for each.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park from Artisan 8

To the east, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park follows the Kallang River, turned from a concrete canal into a naturalised river with meandering banks. Its Pond Gardens entrance is about 1.3 kilometres from the site and its River Plains about 1.5 kilometres, with lawns, playgrounds and cycling paths between them.

Green Living at Artisan 8

Between the reservoirs and the river park, a resident of Artisan 8 can choose a forest walk, a lakeside run or an evening in the park, each within about two kilometres of home. The amenities page lists the other conveniences nearby.
