Living at Artisan 8 means a quiet residential corner of Sin Ming, with Upper Thomson Road’s food street and an MRT station a few minutes’ walk to the west and Bishan’s town centre about 1.4 kilometres to the east.
Three neighbourhoods meet here, each doing a different job: Sin Ming to live in, Upper Thomson to eat and travel from, and Bishan for the larger shops and the interchange.
Sin Ming Beside Artisan 8
Sin Ming is a quiet residential pocket between Upper Thomson and Bishan, with private apartments and HDB blocks along its curving roads. Sin Ming Road runs along the front of the site, linking Upper Thomson Road to the west with Sin Ming Avenue and Bishan to the east, and Jalan Isnin borders the other side.
The nearest residential neighbour across the road, Sin Ming Ville, is about 160 metres away. The address is in the Bishan planning area and postal District 20.
Upper Thomson Road from Artisan 8
Upper Thomson Road and its long line of eateries begin just beyond the junction, with Upper Thomson MRT station beneath them. Thomson Plaza is about 590 metres from the site, so breakfast, a market run and dinner are all within a short walk of home.

Bishan and the Hospital Near Artisan 8
Bishan MRT interchange and Junction 8 are about 1.4 kilometres from the site, for a larger mall and the North-South and Circle Line connections. Mount Alvernia Hospital on Thomson Road is about 1.3 kilometres away, and Ai Tong School and Catholic High School are both within about a kilometre.

Green Space Near Artisan 8
The Pond Gardens of Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park are about 1.3 kilometres from the site and River Plains about 1.5 kilometres. To the west, MacRitchie Reservoir Park is about 1.4 kilometres away, Windsor Nature Park about 1.7 kilometres and Lower Peirce Reservoir Park about 2 kilometres, gateways to the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.

Eating and Shopping Near Artisan 8
Upper Thomson Road’s eateries include cafes, bakeries, dessert shops, zi char restaurants and supper spots along both sides of the road, and the stretch nearest the site lies between Thomson Plaza and the Sin Ming junction. Thomson Plaza adds shops, restaurants and services under one roof, and Shunfu Mart is close by, as the location map shows. Junction 8 at Bishan, about 1.4 kilometres away, offers a larger choice again.

Ai Tong School is about 830 metres from the site and Catholic High School about 980 metres, both in a straight line on OneMap. Raffles Institution is about 1.4 kilometres away, and Marymount Convent School and Peirce Secondary School about 1.6 kilometres. Practicalities Close to Artisan 8
Everyday services cluster within a short distance. Mount Alvernia Hospital on Thomson Road is about 1.3 kilometres away, Thomson Plaza about 590 metres and Upper Thomson MRT station about 260 metres. Bright Hill station on the Thomson-East Coast Line is about 1.0 kilometre away, a third station within a kilometre of the site.

Inside the building, the basement holds 26 car lots, an accessible lot, a motorcycle lot and ten bicycle lots, and the lift lobbies have card access. At street level, the developer’s schedule lists eight commercial units, including three restaurants and a supermarket, so some daily needs may be met without leaving the building. Together with the MRT stations and the food street, that makes the address practical for a household that prefers to keep errands short.
